What’s Going On?
This week, Sandy Milsom will be leading the workshop. Please bring along notebooks and pens.
Sandy has previously lead workshops – one memorable occasion is when she brought along recordings and we had to write pieces based on our thoughts of what the music evoked.
On Saturday we set up the Noisy Words exhibition. There have been some technical problems, but we are hoping these will be fixed sooner rather than later. Thank you for all of those who have been along and supported the group.
I hope to see you all Thursday.
All the best,
Charlie.
Looks good. Does anyone have any guidance on how to end sentences where quotes are being used in prose? Does the stop or ? etc come after the inverted commas or before and are there exceptions? And quotes within quotes? I thought I knew the rules but I find different writers use different conventions and it is apparent there is a difference between the US and Britain. So I’ve entered into a state of frustrated confusion. The web hasn’t helped. A crib sheet would be useful.
